Dr. Victoria Cano Colazo is a Research Explorer Ruhr 2026 Fellow at the Professorship

Dr. María Victoria Cano Colazo is undertaking a research visit to the Professorship of Sociology of Gender Relations as part of the Research Explorer Ruhr 2026 programme.

Dr. María Victoria Cano Colazo is currently employed at the National University of San Martín (UNSAM) Buenos Aires, Argentina and is postdoctoral fellow at the School of Interdisciplinary Advanced Social Studies (Esceula IDAES). Her research examines gender-based inequalities and violence in the scientific systems of Latin America. She is currently exploring the connection with Europe through the study of resistance strategies — such as activism and epistemic practices — against anti-feminist backlash in academia

The photo shows us on a joint trip : on 1 July 2026, we attended the talk REVISIONING THE COMMONS by Prof. Silvia Federici and Mithu Sanyal on the roof terrace of the Bochum Art Museum.
