Prof. Mona Motakef Re-elected as First Spokesperson
Elections for the Section Council on “Women’s and Gender Studies” in the German Sociological Association
Prof. Dr. Mona Motakef was re-elected as First Spokesperson at the general meeting of the “Women’s and Gender Studies” section of the German Sociological Association (DGS) on October 1, 2026, during the DGS Congress in Mainz. She will thus serve another two-year term, from October 2026 to October 2028. The newly elected Section Council also includes Prof. Dr. Tina Spies (Second Spokesperson), Sophie Bauer, Dr. Folke Brodersen, Prof. Dr. Nina Hossain, Aaron Korn, Dr. Corinna Schmechel, and Dr. Lena Weber.
