Francesco Cavallo, a Master's student on the Ageing Societies degree programme, was one of four speakers to contribute to the discussion on the living situation of older queer people and discuss the current opportunities and challenges of ‘queer age(ing)’ in the Federal Republic of Germany. Francesco Cavallo is currently writing his MA thesis on ‘trans* in home care’ at Prof. Dr. Mona Motakef's department.
The upcoming Ninth Report on Ageing by the Federal Government entitled ‘Growing old in Germany - Diversity of potential and inequality of opportunities for participation’, under the leadership of head of degree programme Prof. Dr. Martina Brandt, will dedicate a special chapter to LGBTIQA+.
