Dr Holly Patch gives lecture in the lecture series Climate: Change, Values, Science

On Friday, 16 January 2026, Dr Holly Patch will give a digital lecture.

Book launch at Ruhr University Bochum: ‘On the way to normality? LGBTQ+ families and their struggle for recognition’

On 20 January 205, Prof. Mona Motakef and a team of authors invite you to the presentation of their new monograph.

The event is a book launch with Prof. Dr. Mona Motakef, Dr. Julia Teschlade and Prof. Dr. Christine Wimbauer on 20 January 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Ruhr University Bochum. There will be a commentary by Prof. Dr. Pierre Thielbörger and an introduction by Prof. Dr. Katja Sabisch. New publication „The Sociology of Families. Key Debates and Contending Perspectives“

Prof. Mona Motakef publishes the essay ‘LGBTQ+ families in Germany’ with Dr Julia Teschlade and Prof. Christine Wimbauer.

Contributors present emerging perspectives on the dynamics and challenges related to changing family forms and increasing family diversity in various countries or regions. The analyses reveal the multidimensional nature of living arrangements, parenting, and policies in a context of long-term social changes.
