Acquiring external funding strategically – workshop for mid-level faculty – How can funding applications in Gender Studies be designed successfully?

Invite to the Workshop © Netzwerk Frauen- und Geschlechterforschung NRW
Anike Krämer (mid-level representative of the Network Women's and Gender Studies NRW) invites you to a practice-oriented workshop – with input from Mona Motakef (TU Dortmund University), among others.

Acquiring third-party funding is a key challenge, particularly in the doctoral and postdoctoral phase - especially in interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary gender studies. As one of the mid-level representatives of the Network for Women's and Gender Studies NRW, Anike Krämer is organizing a workshop with the other members of the Mid-Level Council that will provide strategies for successful application and support researchers in the qualification phase.

The workshop will kick off with an input from Astrid Schwarzenberger (Head of the “Women in EU Research” contact point) on the role of gender in EU research funding. Afterwards, Prof. Dr. Katja Sabisch (RUB) and Prof. Dr. Mona Motakef (TU Dortmund University) will give insights into their experiences in writing and managing research projects and supervising doctoral candidates in a panel discussion. The afternoon will be dedicated to digital innovation: Dr.-Ing. Lea Schönberger will introduce the use of AI-supported tools for writing funding applications.
