Radio Interview: Legal Protection for Platonic Life Partnerships?

Traditional conceptions of family and romantic love are changing: Online, more and more people have been discussing the notion of a 'platonic life partnership',  a long-term and reliable close friendship that takes the place of a conventional partnership. The coalition government of Germany is also striving to legalize such life partnerships beyond conventional couple and family models in the form of a ,Verantwortungsgemeinschaft', for which the FDP recently introduced a motion. But what is behind this proposal?
