Dr. Holly Patch

My fields of research include gender studies and trans* studies; sociology of gender, body, and music; and voice studies. My postdoctoral research deals broadly with the complex of time, nature, and gender relations, and specifically focuses on the gendered dimensions of transformations in small-scale farming practices. This ethnographic research employs biographical methods, which is one of my teaching focuses at TU Dortmund University.

I am working on the manuscript for the book publication of my 2023 dissertation "Claim Your Voice: An Ethnographic Study of Trans* Vocality," which was awarded the Bielefeld Equality Award in the category gender research.
